I noticed that for all the talk about the President fogroing a chunk of her salary the vote (money) for the President's Establishment' has gone up. All the spinning about politicians' and senior civil servants' salaries being hit is about the net amount (ie the effect of the deductions everyone's having to bear) and not their grosses. It very (deliberately?) hard to work out what's going on with the €1bn FAS used to get since it's been split between two departments, and one section of it has got a massive increase.
