If you're not doing anything, check me out on the BBC Newshour tonight between 21:00 and 21:20 GMT. They're interviewing me and a few other chaps and chappettes about the similarities and differences between: wildfires and levee failures; rich folks and po' folks; 55 electoral votes and 9 electoral votes.
As McGarrett would say: Be there. Aloha.
Update: That's 3:00 New Orleans time.
Update2: Here it is in real player format and in windoze media player format. I start spewing blather at about 12:53 in.
Update 3: Da BBC don't seem to archive their stuff, so those links will give you the most current Newshour, not the one with our intrepid hero. Geh
Well done, Sir! If nothing else, you will now have a place to send the mooks who assume that "Ashley Morris" is a female.
As it happens, we have been discussing this very issue quite vigorously, complete with a (redacted) F-bomb in the thread title, at the other place where I post frequently.

And what's with the "Aloha" stuff? You're not going to turn up on my doorstep, are you? (At least UH still has a CS dept...)

I love how the White House guy talks about "academics" so disparagingly. MOST people have never met Bush. Doesn't stop us from determining when this man is acting in our best interests or no. The general consensus has been that the prez has not been acting in the country's best interests.
And, Cannon, it was NOT a natural disaster, schmuck!
