I actually saw this on a pick-up parked in front of Lusher Elementary on my way to vote in the runoff.
I hope things are changing. I have faith that they are.
Let us hope that those we elected, those for whom we campaigned so hard, those for whom we have blind faith that they will not let us down, they will not favor businesses over their constituents, will not let us become serfs to monolithic corporations that care not about our city's cultural heritage or architecture.
Let us pray that we are ceasing to be politically handicapped.
As I always say, we do indeed have a gift for poking fun at our ugly truths.

Give it another six months down here in the city, and I think we shall see a marked change in the political arena. If not, recall and do it all again... right this time.
