I really hate it when one person controls the destiny of many.
Think of W sending thousands to their deaths in Iraq, all for the sake of keeping his petro buddies happy.
Now, think of Chris Albrecht, the CEO of HBO, controlling the destiny of The Wire.
Everybody from the Chicago Tribune, to Slate, to LA Weekly, to New York Newsday, to the Boston Herald, to the New York Post, to the San Francisco Examiner to USA Today, to the Detroit News, claims that this is either one of the best, or THE BEST show on television.
Yet all Albrecht can do is bitch about the low ratings.
Hey, I thought it wasn't TV, it was HBO.
Quality was supposed to rule uber alles.
Yet even though it gets better ratings than the abortion that is Carnivale, while up against stiffer competition (the NFL and Desperate Housewives), Albrecht slams it.
Fuck you, Chris.
Just because you're an idiot for spending $100 Million on the disaster called Rome, doesn't mean that you should burn The Wire.
The critics, almost unanimously, state that The Wire has the best writing, acting, and storyline on television.
Chris, if you burn The Wire, you can take my measly subscription fee and dream on it. Don't think I'm the only one. We will leave in droves, and it won't be to Showtime.
Do the right thing. Don't tell me "We just ask ourselves: Is it different? Is it distinctive? Is it good?". I'll remind you of this if you cancel the show. Bitch.

Bone cancers that are the rsuelt of spread from the primary site (breast in this case) are very hard to judge as to time. Since she is only on a drug (pill not chemo) treatment that is a positive for her. But any time the primary site has started to spread there is no way to give any type of time . If the primary site had not spread the tumor could have been totally removed with no spread, she could have had a complete recovery with sometimes chemo as a preventative for recurrence. She is lucky because the type of Breast cancer she has is slow growing Tamoxifen is a good drug to use here.Sometimes you can get a span of 10 years on this treatment but sometimes it might be only 2 years. It will all depend on her medical condition like other diseases how much the bone cancer has or will spread. Your doctor will continue to monitor her order chemo or radiation in treating the cancer as well as scans to monitor the metastases spread. Radiation is the most common treatment for bone cancer sometimes can keep it in check for years. It also helps in relieving bone pain. Hormone blocking drugs Tamoxifen are the most common treatment with fewer side effects .If the Breast alone was involved that is one thing but any time the spreading has started you really can't tell,You can't do surgery with most bone cancers but in time there might be a new drug to halt any further spread. Many Breast cancers with metastases if found late can only give a patient 3 months or less so at least you have time. Just keep monitoring the disease good luck to you both.
