Here I am at work with tears in my eyes. I feel terrible for our loss, but especially for yours. If you are able, please let us know what happened.

My deepest sympathies to you and your children.

Oh, Hana, there are no words. I'm so sorry. No one will ever fill the space he leaves.

He was a fiery light in NOLA. My condolences to you.

There simply aren't words to deal with such moments. A little bit of him will live on in all of us.

We are so sorry for you loss. Ashley was an inspiring friend.

Howie Luvzus

Wow. What a shock. Please know that my prayers will be with you and your wonderful children.

I'm so very very sorry.

Jesus. I am so sorry.

I only met y'all once, but was looking forward to many more years of friendship. He was a unique voice in the wilderness and I will miss him.

Let me know if I can do anything at all.

Mr. Clio

I never met anybody like him. I can't compare anybody to him.

I don't know how to describe him to others.

We will be there for you.

I can't believe this. I am so saddened, so sorry.

Hana and all, I am just stunned. My heart goes out to you. And know that I am sending peace and healing vibes to all. May he rest in the arms of the Goddess, may his family and friends know peace.
I just don't know what else to say - sending big hugs.

Hana, I am so sorry to hear this bad news. I read it last night, but couldn't believe it.

Damn damn damn. I am so very sad to hear of Ashley's passing. I am also sorry I didn't let him know how much I appreciated his voice while he was still with us. My sincere sympathies to his family and all his many friends who knew him much better than I.

Hana...lets see which one are you?...I would fang back through the TONS of pics he posted of his family...but I just can't get past that little Indian...he obviously loved y'all so much.
That is how many of us knew Ashley and y'all...from this blog.
So sad when you realize that this is the only way the Reaper ever gets to laugh, eh?
I hope this blog stays up for a bit longer so I can go back through missed posts.

Please take care.

I didn't know Ashley personally, but always enjoyed reading his posts, even when we disagreed. He will be missed. My heart goes out to you, Hana, and your children.

Hana, so very sorry. I'm thinking of ya'll. As our kids are at same school (same grade), would like to help however possible.

I am so sad to hear this terrible news. Ashley was a force of nature and this town will not be the same without him.

We must honor his memory in every way we can.

Hana, we're here for you and the family, and will help you in every way we can.

There was no one like Ashley, and it's incredibly sad to think of a world without him.
We loved him, we'll miss him and we'll always remember him.

Cindy and I are so sorry to hear this. Hana, we'll call you about helping with the children.

I'm shocked and deeply sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed Ashley's posts and his view on things.

Chris and I were so horrified to hear about this... we are just in shock. Please let us know if there's anything we can do. Love, Trina

We have been editing a video of Ashley talking with Oyster about living in this city he loved so much, about being a blogger which he did with more style than any of us could muster.

Because of watching the video I have his voice and laugh stuck in my head. I am glad for this because he was such a wonderful person who I will miss greatly. He always made me smile.

May we all carry the torch of his loving and supportive rascal spirit.

Much love to you and the family.
