Like Ash said, no coffee till we get levees. I know that at least I would end up in one of those dams in Yankton, S.D. if I had no coffee. Thinking about it, if I had to live in Yankton, SC, I would probably ended up in there anyway.
Somebody sent me this and she was very appalled. I hate to admit it but I find some of them really funny. Sorry if that offends anybody.
So the Bridge House got Ashley's dad's old van. The thing had no steering or A/C and Ash kept it only because of his dad. I did not know his dad. It smelled the same as all of Ashley's cars - sea salt, mold, and beer. I need to go to Pensacola and get a bunch of beach sand for my van. Crap.
Bridge House was a good choice.
Since Dr. Morris decided not to take me for my birthday dinner this year, it is up to you. My birthday is April 27th, which is Sunday. Stop by and hang out with me on the porch. I will get pizza and some cake. I will be social from 4 pm on.

OK, now to the other good news. Last night there was a BERG bout. StoryVillains v. Confederacy of Punches and
Crescent Wenches v. Marigny Antoinettes. I was AWESOME. Totally packed.
Unfortunately, I got my babies out of the house late so we missed the very long minute of silence for Ashley and the announcing of the 50/50 ruffle for his benefit. Thanks to Jambot and others who helped to raise so much money. The guy who won the ruffle decided to donate everything to the family. I don't know your name but THANK YOU!
This one will make you cry. A 1st grader came to Katerina's teacher during their morning meeting and gave her a bag of coins. He apparently broke his piggy bank so he could help our family.

I am adorable and very loud. I make my mom happy.
It is April 16th. During this month, I lost my husband of 9 years, my daughter cut off most of her hair, my son lost his favorite stuff animal and cries all day and night, and today I had to put my cat down. Her kidneys finally failed completely.
So to Guelph and Ash - be happy. I am not.

So when I got over my terrible hangover this morning, well, 11:30 am.... anyway, I was thinking I want to get a tattoo. I don't have one yet. Yeah, I know the "good girl". Anyway, I can't figure out a design. That is where you come in.
I want something that will combine New Orleans, love, and drumsticks.
So all you creative people with nothing to do ;-) give me a design.

I am going to keep this blog open and keep you updated on what's up with our family and such.
At this moment, I am overwhelmed with all the support I am getting from all the bloggers, the New Orleans community, Lusher school, DePaul community, and old friends. I will be forever grateful for this. I realized that New Orleanians are a family; not a community, not friends, a family.
I will post things as they become official but things are just coming together. All the things Ash did not have time to finish when he was here are happening now. The kids college education will likely be taken care of. The graduation speaker he wanted sooo much finally accepted. And - Entergy is putting the street tiles BACK.
He did it all even though after he passed. He was just larger than life.
